CaptureSMB; How does it work – twin-column capture LPLC technology and practical application
Technology to increase productivity in the capture chromatography step during the purification of bio-molecules (e.g. mAb) by 2 to 3-fold while reducing Protein A and buffer usage by up to 50% will be presented in this 30 minute presentation. Animations to illustrate the technique will quickly provide the webinar attendees with insight of how the process mimics conventional batch LPLC purification – but allows continuous chromatography. Economics of the process as applied to mAbs will illustrate the impact of incorporating the patented CaptureSMB process on plant productivity and cost-reduction. Information on scale-up and GMP scale equipment presently in use at multiple biopharmaceutical companies will be shown.
NOTE: this is one in a series of ~15 webinars on twin-column “continuous” chromatography technology by YMC/ChromaCon. View all on www.biolingo.com search term “YMC”
Founded in 1980, YMC has facilities throughout Asia, Europe and America where the over 500 employees are providing best-in-class lab and process chromatography solutions to the bio/pharmaceutical industry. YMC focus is in the innovation, production and sales of chromatography packing materials, columns and systems for High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Low Pressure Liquid Chromatography (LPLC) and custom purification systems. YMC’s intellectual assets and know-how cultivated from many years of experience, will continue to push the limits to create a prosperous future for the purification and discovery of small and large molecule therapies. YMC is a private Life Science company headquartered in Kyoto, Japan. More at: http://www.ymc.co.jp/en/
